A new ARINC standard is being developed by the Digital Video Encoding Subcommittee headed by Paul Prisaznuk pjp@arinc.com. The committee is developing the document titled: Avionics Digital Video Bus, and will be known as ARINC 818.  

The current draft of ARINC 818 draws heavily from the ANSI FC-AV standard. Updates on the progress of ARINC 818 will be posted here occasionally.

Project Paper 818: Avionics Digital Video Interface, High Data Rate, has been released

The ARINC standard is being set up for final approval and is expected to be adopted by January 2007
